6.30 – 8pm Photoshoot Pole Workshop – Jess
One of the most popular questions we have when we organise photoshoots is, what move shall I do?
This workshop will help you with that, it will prep you for any photoshoots. It doesn’t matter of you haven’t booked a photoshoot, just bring your phone/camera to the workshop. In the workshop Jess will explore the prettiest moves, the sexiest moves, the strongest moves, the ones which make you look splitty, pretty and bendy. These are not necessarily the hardest poses too. So some insider secrets. Jess will be splitting the moves into categories to suit all levels of pole dancers (you will need to have had some basic pole lessons, at least one term of 6).
This is a great workshop for our lower level pole dancers. And don’t forget your phone/camera and wear a nice pole kit. You will want to take some pics at the workshop.
6.45 – 7.45pm Aerial Silks Taster
Have you ever wondered what the aerial silks are like? Would you like to try before you book a term on the aerial silks? This is the class for you. We will be looking at how to start learning Aerial Silks. Suitable for complete beginners who have never touched aerials before and for those who train in other equipment with us and want to try something new or to compliment your pole/aerial hoop training.
SPECIAL OFFER ON THE NIGHT. If you enjoy and would like to sign up to the term after the session you can deduct the price of the workshop from your first 6 week term payment.
8 – 9.30pm Spinny Pole – Becky
The art of spinny pole is a fun one to master. This workshop is suitable for intermediate – advanced pole dance students only. You will need to invert and climb as a basic skill. Becky has been training with spinny pole ever since she returned to pole from maternity leave and has found it a great way to increase her training, strength and rekindle her love for the pole. In this session Becky will look at simple but effective and very pretty combinations that work on spinny pole. These will include spins, climbs, transitions and upright and inverted tricks. Be warned you WILL get dizzy…..
Wednesday 4th April
6.30 – 8pm Doubles Pole – Jess & Emily
Jess and Emily have recently been exploring doubles pole. Having a pole buddy is one of the main reasons most students stick at pole when it gets tough. The social side is a very important element to classes. So why not celebrate this by booking on the doubles pole workshop with your pole buddy, make some time to get on the pole together and learn some fun poses, spins and tricks to leave you looking amazing, laughing your head off and of course, new bruises!
Minimum level, intermediate pole.
8 – 9.30pm Hip Hop Pole – Emily
Get down and dirty with Emily’s new hip hop dance workshop. Emily will happily tell you she is NOT a dancer, but does love teaching dance routines for the pole. Coming from a non dance background gives her lots of experience in teaching non dancers. So if you want to learn how to make the dance sections on the pole look good, here is the workshop to give you the starting moves and techniques to get there.
Suitable for all levels of pole dancer from amateur – advanced, this hip swinging, butt shaking, hair flicking workshop promises to make us sweat the glamor!
Thursday 5th April
6.30-8pm Pole Silks – Vicky
One of our most popular workshops of all time. Vicky shows us once again the wonderfully graceful ways to work with pole silks. We attach the silks to the pole and switch them onto spinny mode to discover seamless spins, gravity defying tricks and transitions. The silks attached to the pole make tricky moves easier and impossible moves possible. A background (at least one term) in either pole or silks is essential for this workshop.
6.45pm – 7.45pm Aerial Bootcamp – Beckie
Beckie is a power lifting champion, personal trainer and aerial hoop instructor. She is combining her talents of strength and aerial knowledge using all our aerial equipment to design a workout with super power. Utilising all the aerial and floor equipment to perform a series of strength and conditioning exercises to increase strength, agility, balance and power. This is a new workshop and one which promises to be full of fun, sweat and motivation!
8-9.30pm Stretch & Flexibility for Pole & Aerial Students – Vicky
What better way to finish the day than with a stretch! This one is designed specifically for pole and aerial students. Vicky will focus on the key areas needing to be lengthened to help us feel more comfortable in our nemesis moves. Learn strategies to elongate hips, shoulders, back and legs, leaving us feeling taller and calmer. Suitable for all levels, no matter how flexible or inflexible you are.
