Blushette of the month is a monthly recognition of the achievements made every day in Blush Dance classes by our students. Nominated by teachers and students, the blushette of the month award recognises the commitment, dedication and challenges our students display and overcome. Recognitions can be for many things and include some of the following: achieving a new level of skill, a new move, performing in front of an audience, competing in a championship, overcoming unfavourable training odds, great attendance at classes, great dedication to training/shows/attitude at classes.
Becky joined Blush Burlesque classes in Jan 2014, she quickly got hooked on the fabulous fitness feeling and added pole dance classes to her week. Becky now attends 5 classes a week, including Silks, Aerial Hoop, Yoga, Pole and Burlesque. Becky has been nominated because of her dedication, and commitment to training. Her enthusiasm and passion for her goals is always positive, as a result Becky has enjoyed well deserved results in her training and dropped two dress sizes since starting at Blush Dance Classes.
Here is Becky’s story in her own words…
I joined Blush because I needed a new way of exercising: the bike in the spare room has been just an extension of my wardrobe for far too long. I stumbled across Blush Dance on Facebook; saw the burlesque photos; and decided I needed to be wrapped in a feather boa while shimmying round a chair! I love the classes: they’re so much fun! It’s proper “me” time where all I need to think about is where my hands and feet belong (I’m still working on that one) and whether I’ll be able to move in the morning! Everyone is super lovely, supportive, helpful, welcoming and I ALWAYS leave feeling like I’ve acomplished something and smiling. I’ve dropped two TWO! dress sizes since I started after Christmas; I definitely have more energy; and I can almost fit into my beautiful clothes again..
